Pretti Graffiti-Tree Nite

Went by P Street and 16th today on the way to Sushi Taro and came across this beautiful graffiti wall inside a basketball court. The overall theme was wizard of oz but this cute flower caught my eye and had to capture it. Have been perusing graffiti online and some inner city ones are actually very peaceful and chic... makes me want to graffiti paint my living room wall one day, no joke.

i found out that sushi taro is overrated. as i ventured there, i was hoping that this one would not disappoint since all sushi joints seem to worsen each year in this area for some reason. although the environment expressed potential for authenticity (not extravagant), the food itself was not extraordinary. i do like the brush paintings the owner did himself at the door tho, +2 points. last hope of good sushi restaurant zapped. it's 10k times better than sushi damo in the new rockville town center though. that place is a complete poser of a sushi joint, unless squared technicolored sushi is actually a new fad....

i walked out stuffed in any case and happened across this huge banner that said "xm+sirius=monopoly, u do the math" and thought it was pretty funny hanging outside the national association of broadcasters building. as the last encounter of the night, came across a bittersweet tree stump - never thought a remnent of a tree could look so beautiful & photogenic wrapped in ivy.
