Bodies Exhibit

Everyone has a unique tongue print and we started our first half an hour of existence as a single cell - 2 things i didn't know nor thought about prior the visit to the Bodies Exhibit. It is one of the most facinating exhibitions i've ever been to, and all this time, it's been contained within my own skin! the way they perserved these bodies or portions of a body is unreal - nothing compared to the pictures in schoolbooks when you can see ligaments and tissue sticking out right in front of your face!

Went with my lovely grandparents and Kuerban, it's one of those things anyone can enjoy and learn from regardless of age and language. Glad that they found it as entrancing as i did... altho my grandmother kept saying she can't get the images out of her head afterwards - not sure if it's a good thing..hmm. the blood vessel displays were my favorite, reminded me of 'war of the worlds.' the pictures may appear a little disturbing but again, it's better in person! :)

some other cool things they showed where a complete sheet of real skin (that weighed 31 lbs) and a sliced up human body from skin to bone marrow where you can visibly tell where layers of muscle to organ are. okay - maybe it doesn't sound too inviting when described but it's definitely a worthwhile visual experience.. they did a great job displaying the cancerous or unhealthy ograns versus the healthy which makes you want to take care of your insides and never eat meat again.
