9mm Babe

Got my rockin' Galaga shirt in the mail Friday - courtesy of my lil sis, the awesomeness known as Nancy who is now also my favorite person b/c of this shirt. It shall be passed down as a family heirloom along with the sofa. Don't worry, it's perfectly normal to stare at the pictures below for more than a couple minutes cause it's so fabulous.

Note to self - i need to stop acting like i eat meat every time i go out with co-workers.. cause i don't! today it was extremely awful cause there must've been pork in the dishes and i came back feelin' like i had hot flashes & morning sickness all at once and had to drink ice water continuously cause my body was literally fever hot. swear i would go vegan if it was an easy thing to do. vegans drive me nuts though whenever we go out, for the sake of simplicity, rather go through toxic overdose for a couple hours and eat whatever's available. i still feel sick as hell ugh, maybe not..

One of my worst fears living here is to get locked out of my apartment, which eventually happened yesterday when i went to check on laundry in the morning while still in my PJs. i was lucky to only had to wait 2.5 hours for the apt guy to show up and was entertained by the kid's signing program on TV in the fitness room else it would've sucked a**. if this was to happen at night however, i'd have to call the locksmith from a non-existent public phone with coins i never carry.. very comforting setup.

So i have this image in my head from this weekend. went out bar hopping with a couple accenture folks and this guy i had one meeting with before - the most gentle and quiet soul u can imagine came up to me and showed me a pic of a nude girl with a 9mm covering her crotch on his cell phone. defying stereotypes - love that. normally people don't surprise me, but he did quite a good job and now i have that image stuck in my head. good thing he's hot else i'd be a lil creeped out.

Social misadventures like these pretty much sums up my interactions with west coastians so far..
