I was on the way to the strand the other day to walk mimi and this thing flapped by my face all of a sudden and caught my attention. I thought it was a humming bird at first by the shear size of the thing, but it ended up being this fugly bug beast that I've never seen before. Is it a moth? cicada? gallivespian?? i really need to get a better camera to capture creatures in their full thumb-sized glory.
I'm sure they're a good source of protein though - yum.
