Mental Event Horizon
The world's adjectives at our disposal. Most experiences and situations in life are neither good nor bad, but our thoughts make it so. Unless it's an extreme or unusual setting, everything comes down to a personal choice of how you want to perceive and acknowledge it. The conscious awareness is so much fuller in feeling than the emotional counterpart. Makes sense why understanding is the most persuasive change enabler.. the little we gradually gain through life, the more you can't turn back, usually from a confident, conscious decision not to.

Sure, why not
"Most experiences and situations in life are neither good nor bad, but our thoughts make it so."
Agree

Awareness and emotion are not such separate things that they should be described in such a way. Unless you're a robot. Its the emotional counterpart that makes being aware so full of feeling, no?

Maybe if everyones life was calculated so perfectly moment to moment. I'd hate to think that you couldn't turn around and correct past mistakes even if they were made years and years ago. Sometimes you need to turn around and go back because the path you're on isn't leading to someplace nice even if you once thought it would.
Loved the feedback.. To clarify though, the understanding I spoke of was more of a revelation when you realize something for its worth.. like learning from a mistake and see why it was a mistake. Similar to how you can relate to something good through experiencing something bad. Once you know/understand, you wouldn't want to go back to make the same mistake twice...usually.
Thanks for the clarification. I'd hate to say that I totally agree with your perspective (because I'm an asshole) but you have a thoughtful point. Never stop writing.
