I say "no, it's buckwheat noodles." not only does he not shrug and go away, he stayed and started telling
me the history of noodles he's had before and how my noodles had a "nice smell to it" and better yet - recapped it with an example of a guy who sits on his side of the office brings in fish for lunch all the time and makes the area "nicely fragrant."
Strong smelling food is definitely no-no at work, but chilled buckwheat noodles dipped in lite soy sauce? hmm, may have to give him the benefit of the doubt that he was just trying to make friendly conversation disastrously like how ppl ask women when the baby's due when they're not pregnant.
the chocolate noodle comment was priceless though.

You mean there's no chocolate in soba? Then why are the noodles brownish???
For whatever reason, him telling you his history of noodles makes me think of Bubba, of Forrest Gump fame.
okay, there may be a little bit of chocolate in the soba, but only a teeny bit.
